This JAVA applet shows:
- Landau cylinders in reciprocal space. Each cylinder extends to infinity
in both directions along the kz axis, but only portions inside
the Fermi sphere at T = 0 are shown. Electron energy varies with kz
on each cylinder. A circle around any cylinder is a line of constant energy.
- A plane of reciprocal space normal to an applied magnetic field. Black
lines are circumferences of Landau cylinders.
- Low-lying energy levels for a free electron in a magnetic field.
